Easy Spaghetti Bolognese

I always make my spaghetti Bolognese with ground pork, cause I don’t really like beef.

Other than that, spaghetti pasta is a dish I like to cook often for my family dinner being so quick and easy to put together with whatever I have in the fridge.

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 lbs (500gr) Ground meat (pork, beef, chicken – whatever you have)
  • 1/2 package Spaghetti pasta (I always use Barilla, it’s my favorite brand)
  • 2 cups Tomato sauce and tomato paste (optional – to increase flavor)
  • Dry herbs (oregano, thyme, basil, 2-3 bay leaves)
  • Salt and pepper, 2-4 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • Cooking oil
  • Parmesan to serve

Method

Heat a few tablespoons of cooking oil and cook the ground meat until it seals and starts to change color.

Add a little water and let it cook on medium heat for 10-15 minutes stirring from time to time and adding more water if necessary.

Meantime cook spaghetti pasta according to the instructions in lots of salted water.

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste (optional) and dry herbs to the ground meat.

Let it cook for another 10 minutes. Add sliced garlic and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes more.

Add a little sugar if necessary and adjust saltiness.

Cook to finish for another 3-4 minutes.

Add the cooked pasta and stir or beautifully arrange spaghetti on a plate and pour some Bolognese sauce on top.

Sprinkle with grated parmesan and enjoy your pasta dinner!
